On the afternoon of May 7th, Tang Jun, Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and a delegation visited Yuhang District to conduct research on certification activities for manufacturers of epidemic prevention supplies. Participating in the research were Wu Yixin, Party Committee Member of the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau; Lu Jianxiang, Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau; Chen Rugen, Yuhang District Mayor; Ge Jianwei, Deputy District Mayor; and Hu Xin, Director of the Yuhang Market Supervision Bureau. The delegation visited Hangzhou Haoyue Nursing Products Co., Ltd., a mask manufacturer in Yuhang District, and held discussions with representatives from 12 other mask and protective clothing manufacturers in Hangzhou, including Haoyue.
Deputy Director Tang Jun's research team visited Hangzhou Haoyue Care Products Co., Ltd., inspecting the company's production workshops, raw material storage rooms, and testing and inspection laboratories. They also exchanged views with relevant leaders from 12 Hangzhou companies on their production and operations, focusing particularly on their performance since resuming work and production. In the conference room of Hangzhou Haoyue Care Products Co., Ltd., they listened to representatives from 12 mask and protective clothing manufacturers from Yuhang, Xiaoshan, Fuyang, Jiande, and other regions, and learned about the difficulties these companies faced in resuming work and production. Representatives from Hande Certification (China) and SGS, who accompanied the research, answered questions from these companies regarding their certification status and difficulties. This helped the participating companies further understand foreign market access requirements and how to choose a legitimate certification body to obtain certification.
Finally, Deputy Director Tang Jun commended the manufacturers for ensuring an orderly supply of masks, protective clothing, and other epidemic prevention supplies in China during the epidemic. He also urged these manufacturers to prioritize product quality while also ensuring proper export certification of their products.
They should choose a legitimate certification body to obtain certification and avoid incurring financial losses and facing significant commercial risks in their export business due to obtaining invalid or fraudulent certificates. Requirements are put forward to market supervision departments to strengthen certification supervision on issues such as false certification and buying and selling certificates of epidemic prevention supplies, severely crack down on certification violations involving epidemic prevention supplies, improve the effectiveness of certification implementation, continuously standardize the certification market, ensure the orderly export of epidemic prevention supplies such as masks and protective clothing, and maintain the country's image and international reputation.
